Allocations Policy
With effect from 1 June 2009, greater choice will be available to people who are applying for affordable rented housing. From this date, applicants will have access to properties in East Staffordshire that are owned, not only by Trent & Dove Housing but also by partner associations: Orbit; Heart of England; Sanctuary Housing; Midland Heart; Waterloo Housing Association and Derwent Living, under a common allocation policy.
Some properties in East Staffordshire owned by; Anchor , Northern Counties , Spirita and Housing 21 will also be available.
Applicants will also be able to join the UChoose housing register, giving them access to homes in north Warwickshire and other districts in south Staffordshire.
All the partners are committed to choice based letting. This means available properties are advertised and applicants registered on the housing register are invited to express their interest in them. Properties will then be offered to applicants in accordance with the new shared Allocations Policy.
Trent & Dove Housing will maintain the housing register on behalf of its partners. Details of the new system and application forms are available at the offices of Trent & Dove Housing. You can apply to join the housing register by completing a housing application form. This is available:
- from the Trent & Dove offices at Horninglow Street, Burton (opposite the Police Station), Telephone 01283 528528, email enquiries@trentanddove.org
- from the Trent & Dove offices at Bradley Street, Uttoxeter (Telephone 01889 561870),
