Old, decrepit and unwanted concrete,  deck-access blocks of flats are being demolished to make way for modern homes at the Willows.
The new homes are to be made available in a variety of styles and tenures and the changes have been welcomed by the local community who had seen the area become a focal for anti-social behaviour.
Children from the local school produced safety murals, which were displayed on the site board.
