Find a Property

We have three types of properties available.

> Properties to Rent

How to Register your Expression of Interest in a property

You can register an expression of interest from here on properties that are shown as available for rent, providing you are registered on the East Staffordshire Housing waiting list. You will need your housing application number to register an expression of interest.

Working with other Registered Social Landlords in the area. Trent & Dove Housing also advertise properties to rent on behalf of other Landlords in the area. If you see a property you are interested in, that for example is owned by Orbit Housing, simply register your interest in the normal way. We will then forward your details on to the relevant Landlord and if you are successful, they will contact you to discuss an offer.

You can place an expression of interest against any advertised property by simply entering your details in the requested fields. It is only necessary to register your interest once on each property that you are interested in.

Important Note regarding bids placed on properties:

We are currently receiving a high number of refused offers from applicants who have expressed their interest and bid for properties in areas they do not really want. Please be sure that you are interested in the area in question before placing a bid on a property. Also be aware that your actions may delay someone else in need of housing getting the property they need.

With effect from 1 June 2009, greater choice will be available to people who are applying for affordable rented housing. From this date, applicants will have access to properties in East Staffordshire that are owned, not only by Trent & Dove Housing but also by partner associations: Orbit; Heart of England; Sanctuary Housing; Midland Heart; Waterloo Housing Association and Derwent Living, under a joint allocation policy.

Some properties in East Staffordshire owned by; Anchor , Northern Counties , Spirita and Housing 21 will also be available.

To register your expression of interest for properties in East Staffordshire, advertised on our web site, you must complete our application and be registered with us to get a valid registration number.

If you are also looking outside East Staffordshire, you are also able to join the UChoose housing register, giving you access to homes in north Warwickshire and other districts in south Staffordshire.

The deadline for bids to be accepted is midnight on Monday each week.   The properties are then withdrawn from this website and replaced with the following week's properties that will be available for rent.

Please note that only those who are successful will be contacted. We will however, publish feedback each month in the respective newspapers and on this website.

If you are not currently registered or would like some information on how to find a home with Trent & Dove, please contact one of our offices on 01283 528528 (Burton) or 01889 561870 (Uttoxeter).

Trent & Dove Housing will also maintain the housing register on behalf of its partners. Details of the new system and application forms are available at the offices of Trent & Dove Housing. You can apply to join the housing register by completing a housing application form. This is available:

  • from the Trent & Dove offices at Horninglow Street, Burton (opposite the Police Station), Telephone 01283 528528, email enquiries@trentanddove.org
  • from the Trent & Dove offices at Bradley Street, Uttoxeter (Telephone 01889 561870),

> Shared Ownership Schemes

Trent & Dove Housing provides an opportunity to assist people in buying their own home. Newly built properties are available on various developments throughout East Staffordshire and surrounding areas.

Shared Ownership enables you to take your first step in home ownership by buying an initial share of between 25% and 75% of a property, through either a mortgage or savings.  An affordable monthly rent is then payable to Trent & Dove Housing on the remaining share.

You will enjoy all the benefits of a brand new home, knowing your money is invested in bricks and mortar and that you have made the important step on the property ladder.

As your circumstances or finances change you can then buy further shares in the property.
