Luck pensioner wins £1,000 from Trent & Dove Housing
Lucky Burton pensioner, Mr William Roe receives a £1,000 cheque after his name was drawn from a raffle for returning his completed Trent & Dove Housing census form on time.
Mr Roe was delighted to have been selected and said, “This is the first time something like this has ever happened to me, and perhaps I’d better buy my lottery ticket today to see if I am on a winning streak.”
Trent & Dove has asked its 5,500 residents to complete a census to help it understand the changing circumstances of its tenants so that it can ensure that its services meet their needs and also to identify which of its tenants may be most affected by the coming changes to benefit payments and the so called ‘Bedroom Tax’. Advice and guidance can then be offered to those where the impact of the changes is likely to be greatest.
Those tenants who have not yet returned their forms are being urged to do so as a matter of urgency to allow Trent & Dove time to consider where to target their help.
