We provide support to you in your own home. firstCall 24|7 monitor alarms and can provide an emergency response 24 hours a day. This means that you can be safe in the knowledge that, whilst you might be at home on your own you are not alone. 
Unlike other services, we offer monthly welfare checks where our trained and helpful staff visit you at home and will also test your community alarm and telecare equipment.

  • Who is it for?

    The service is available to all residents within East Staffordshire and provides a support network that is ideal for those who live alone, suffer from a medical condition or feel vulnerable.

    Everyone using the system receives a monthly visit to check on their well being and test the equipment.

  • What is Telecare?

    One of the simplest forms of the firstcall 24|7 telecare system is a personal alarm. This is plugged into an electric socket and a working fixed  telephone line. The alarm consists of a discrete pendant worn around the neck, or on the wrist, and a base unit that works with your telephone.

  • Pendants and much more

    Our Telecare system can be enhanced to provide an even greater range of Telecare services, including fall detectors, temperature control, door sensors, smoke detectors and bed sensors.

  • How does it work?

    When you push your pendant, the base unit will receive a signal and will link to a monitoring centre which is staffed by our trained and friendly team who will answer your alarm call on any day of the year, 24 hours a day. What happens next? Our trained staff will respond to alerts and offer reassurance and response in an emergency.

    Our Telecare system can be tailored to your specific needs. We offer a range of services including:

    Fall Detectors

    Fall detectors will trigger an alarm if they detect a jolt and sense you are not in a standing position. The fall detector automatically alerts the FirstCall 24|7 monitoring centre who will then attempt to talk to you, via your telecare unit, and listen to your description of what has occurred before deciding the most appropriate action to take.

    Temperature Control

    This sensor detects low and high temperature within a property. It can detect fires and will alert our 24|7 monitoring centre. It will   also alert us if the temperature is too cold in the property, this could be if the central heating breaks down or if an outside door has been left open in cold weather.

    Door Sensors

    An alarm is triggered if a door is opened at inappropriate times of the day, or is left open for an unusual length of time.

    Bed Sensors

    This is a pressure mat that triggers an alarm when the user gets out of the bed either immediately or if they do not return within a set timeframe.
