Fire Safety Notice

Your safety is our priority

Fire Safety Notice

Your safety is our priority. Items left in communal areas are a danger to you and your neighbours. It is also a breach of your tenancy agreement.

If we have identified any item(s) obstructing a fire exit or adding to the fire loading of the communal area, residents will be issued with a fire safety notice detailing:

  • Address of obstruction
  • Item(s)
  • Date and location the item(s) were seen

For your safety, we will request that any items are removed immediately

If the item is not removed within 7 days, Trent & Dove will remove the item and store it for 28 days whereupon it will be disposed of if not collected.

We reserve the right to charge for any removal/storage/disposal costs incurred. We also reserve the right to cut any chain/security device to enable us to remove the item. We accept no liability for any damage caused to any items removed.

If the item re-appears within 12 weeks, then the item will be removed immediately without prior notice being given.

If you have any questions, please contact us.

Thank you for your cooperation and understanding.

Keeping you safe at home

Please ensure all personal items are stored inside your home and not in any communal areas where they can cause a tripping hazard, or help the spread of a fire, should one break out.

All items pose a danger when left outside of your home, but in particular please do not leave:

  • bikes
  • pushchairs
  • trolleys
  • mobility scooters
  • shoes
  • doormats
  • plants
  • pictures
  • rubbish
  • curtains/blinds.
