Gas Safety Week 2021
Customer News, News
It's Gas Safety Week (13 to 19 September)
Whilst the sun is with us for a little while longer, we'll soon all be reaching for the thermostat.
Did you know that you cannot see, taste or smell carbon monoxide but it can kill quickly without warning? By taking care of your gas appliances, you are taking care of your home and your loved ones.
Annual Safety Checks
By law, every year we have to arrange a gas safety check of your home by a Gas Safe registered engineer. Please let us in, and let us know as soon as possible if you need to change your appointment date.
Keeping your home safe
Know the six signs of carbon monoxide poisoning:
- collapsing and
- loss of consciousness.
Does your appliance have yellow or orange flames rather than blue? Have you noticed black marks around your appliance? These can be signs that your appliance is faulty and could be leaking carbon monoxide. If you suspect something is not working property stop using it immediately and can call a Gas Safe registered engineer.
