Customer Committee

Experience isn’t necessary… but commitment and enthusiasm are!

The new Customer Committee needs people like you to be the voice of our customers.

I’m David, and my team and I have worked hard to shape a new group with a real power to change things. We now need people like you who care deeply about your home and your community.

Our vision is to build a vibrant, valued, supportive group of people who are all passionate about improving their area and homes. Improving things for themselves and others.

With your help, the committee will make sure that Trent & Dove’s customers’ views are listened to and acted upon. You will help shape and monitor our work as we transform homes, lives, and communities.

The new committee will report directly to the Board, focusing on our role as a housing provider and on our community investment activity.

For more information, including details on how to apply, you can either read below or watch our video here.

  • What skills do I need?

We’re looking for people who can share their own experiences, and review the experiences of others when receiving services from Trent & Dove.

We value everyone’s interest and contributions and would love to hear from all members of our communities. People who are open to new ideas, enjoy talking to and hearing from others and who want to make a difference are ideal potential committee members. We can provide the training and support if you bring the passion! Share your unique experience of your area and skills so no voice is left unheard.

  • What's in it for me?

In return for your time, we will:

    • Offer payment, plus expenses
    • Provide food and refreshments at any in-person meetings
    • Report back to you and all customers on views heard, and what we’ve changed as a result
    • Committee members will have the opportunity to become a Board member
    • Create a safe, supportive group who each value the opinion of every member and give everyone an equal voice
    • Give you a secure email address for communication with us
    • Be flexible about how you contribute, to match your individual needs
    • Provide free training, so you can learn more about stating your views with impact, housing and community work, consultation, public speaking and more.
  • How do I apply?

Applying couldn't be easier, simply tell us:

Why you will be a great member of our Customer Committee.

    • You might like to talk about any relevant experience you have, but don’t worry if you’re not sure. This is your space to talk or write or film your personal response to the question.
    • You can tell us what making our customer voices “louder and stronger” means to you.
    • Perhaps you’re already involved in a local community group? Or maybe it’s something you’d like to do? Either way, we’d love to hear all about it.
    • Tell us what you hope to gain from joining the committee, perhaps that’s learning new skills, or meeting new people.
