Community Project

The most impressive community project led by residents which promotes working with other residents and agencies to achieve its aims. This category encourages entries from three separate groups.

 e.g. Projects run by established groups, projects run by newly formed groups and projects run by young people.

Criteria

  • A project which can evidence positive change within a community
  • Evidence of partnership working to achieve its aims
  • A project which enhanced the quality of life for other residents in a community.

Last year, this award was won by The Kingfisher Project 

This project aims to improve the local environment, provides an educational outlet for local children and school groups, tackles social isolation and brings agencies and residents together. It is a one of it’s kind project in East Staffordhire and evolves continually to engage with all members of the community.

This is your chance to let the judges know all about the project, person or group that you are nominating. Remember they don’t know them and will need plenty of information to be able to judge your entry. As a rule of thumb, the minimum word count is 300 words and the maximum is 600 words. Please ensure you read the criteria for the category you are entering before answering the below questions. If you are struggling to answer any of the questions please feel free to call us on 01283 528 693. Some questions to think about when writing your entry: What has the nominee specifically done? How have they done it? What has been the impact? How has this demonstrated their commitment – have they done this voluntarily in their own time? How have they gone out of their way?

  • Terms & Conditions
    • Winners are chosen by the Trent & Dove judging panel, from a shortlist. The team considers every nomination received.
    • We may consider your nomination in a different category if the judges decide it is appropriate.
    • Information you submit as part of the nomination may be shared at the event and for any pre, during and post publicity.
    • The judging panel chooses who they feel are the most deserving winners, regardless of the number of nominations received.
    • Trent & Dove’s Privacy Policy will apply to all nominations.
