Your Rent Free Weeks Explained

Just a reminder that our rent free weeks for March 2020 are the weeks commencing 23 March 2020 and the 30 March 2020. However please be aware that how you pay your rent can make a difference.

Do you pay weekly or by 2 weekly Direct Debit?

If you have a weekly or 2 weekly Direct Debit then this Direct Debit will NOT be stopped during the rent free weeks. If you have a clear rent account and do not owe any debt to Trent & Dove, you can either stop the Direct Debit with your bank or building society or look at a rent refund in the New Financial Year (April). Please note that if you have arrears on your account, then payments to your rent should be paid during the rent free weeks, as you are only eligible if your rent account is up to date.

Do you pay by a monthly Direct Debit?

If you have a monthly, 4 weekly Direct Debit or you are in receipt of Universal Credit your payment has been calculated over a yearly basis. This means that you already benefit from the rent free weeks, so you do not need to cancel your direct debit or reduce your payments over the rent free weeks.

Are you in receipt of Universal Credit?

If you have a monthly, 4 weekly Direct Debit or you are in receipt of Universal Credit your payment has been calculated over a yearly basis.
