From 6 April 2026 ,  the average weekly rent for a Trent & Dove customer will increase from £120.53 per week to £126.31 (an average of £5.78 per week, charged over 48 weeks).  This does not include service charge increases or decreases.

Rents will increase by 4.8%, which is in line with the government's Rent Setting Policy and Regulatory Standards. This adjustment is based on Government guidelines that enable social landlords to use the September 2025 inflation figure of 3.8% plus 1% to set the increase for 2026/27.

Service charges are paid by customers who live in a property with shared facilities and receive additional services such as grass cutting and cleaning and lighting of communal areas.

Shared ownership customers will also see an increase based on the terms of their lease.

Ursula Bennion, Chief Executive at Trent & Dove, said:

“At Trent & Dove, my focus is always on delivering safe, secure and warm homes, alongside supporting individuals and communities to thrive

“We recognise the financial challenges many households are experiencing as the cost of living continues to rise.  That’s why we remain committed to providing good value for money and maintaining high standards across our homes. This year’s rent increase, which follows Government guidance, allows us to continue delivering quality services despite rising costs for materials and labour.

“This measured increase has been approved by our Board and Customer Committee, enabling us to keep investing in our homes, services and communities.

“We remain dedicated to meeting our targets for building new homes and improving existing ones, while continuing to deliver a wide range of community initiatives, including our Warm Space Cafés, Coffee Connect Trailer and Community Grants Panel.

“Our aim is to strike the right balance between affordability and the long-term sustainability of the homes and services we provide, ensuring we can support our customers both now and in the years ahead.”
