Over 55s
We have homes designed for customers aged over 55 who may wish to move to downsize, or require a home that is more suitable for their lifestyle or mobility.
The majority of these homes are situated at our five accommodation blocks across Burton, Winshill, Horninglow, Branston and Uttoxeter.
Our developments offer accessible, self-contained one or two-bedroom properties. Customers have their own front door, allowing them to live as independently and privately as they wish.
We can also consider applications from those under the age of 55 where medical or mobility issues mean that this accommodation best fits their needs. These are assessed on a case by case basis.

Over 55s Shared Ownership
If you are over 55 and would like to part-own your home, but cannot pay the deposit, or are looking to downsize but can’t afford a new home that meets your needs then Shared Ownership might be the way for you.
Any applicants who are homeowners will need to sell their existing home before or at the same time as buying the shared ownership property.
Older Persons Shared Ownership (OPSO) operates slightly differently:
- It is only available for people aged 55 or over;
- The maximum level of equity that can be purchased is 75%; and
- At 75% ownership the shared owner does NOT have to pay rent on the remaining 25% share of the home. You will still have to pay for any Service Charges that apply.
