Share your social housing views with the Government

Forest Heights

Do you want to share your experiences and insights on social housing issues?

There is an opportunity to become a member of a Resident Panel, which gives social housing residents a direct route to engaging with Ministers and officials.

Your views and experiences can help inform social housing policy and delivery.

Ministry of Housing, Communities & Local Government (MHCLG) Social Housing Resident Panel, brings together up to 250 social housing residents from across the country so they can directly share their views. There are some further details here.

Panel members have the opportunity to:

  • Provide feedback on Government housing policies and proposals.
  • Share their experiences and insights on social housing issues.
  • Participate in discussions and research activities with Ministers and officials.

MHCLG is looking for new panel members and will accept applications until 11pm on Sunday 7 September.

Residents can easily apply directly using this link. Applications are open to anyone who lives in homes for social rent, affordable rent, and low-cost homeownership.

Shape the way we react to anti-social behaviour
We want you to be part of a new panel to review and continue improving our approach to tackling anti-social behaviour.
You will have the opportunity to help shape future policies, identify areas for improvement, and ensure our communication is clear and supportive.
If you’ve reported anti-social behaviour or hate crime to us in the past year, we invite you to join the panel. You can help us understand what worked, what didn’t, and how we can improve.
The next panel meeting will take place from:
— 10am to 12pm
— Thursday 18th September,
— at a Riverside Church, Community Room, High Street, Burton DE14 1LT.
Refreshments will be provided, and we’ll cover your travel costs.
