Public spaces consultation with ESBC June 2025

Public spaces consultation with ESBC June 2025

We all want to feel proud of where we live—and that includes our local parks, green spaces, streets, and neighbourhoods. Right now, you can have your say on how these public spaces are protected.

East Staffordshire Borough Council is reviewing its Public Spaces Protection Orders (PSPOs). These orders help manage issues like dog control and drinking alcohol in certain areas. They’re designed to keep public spaces safe, clean, and enjoyable for everyone.

The Council reviews these orders every three years. This time, they’re asking for local people’s views before deciding whether to keep the current rules, make changes or introduce new ones.

This is where you come in.

Maps have been shared showing which areas are affected. You can view these maps and give your feedback directly to the Council.

Your voice matters whether it’s your local park, your walk to the shops, or somewhere you take your dog. If you spot something on the maps that affects you or your community, let the Council know what you think.

The consultation is now open and runs until 7th July 2025.
