Bingo! Carole celebrates 30 years with Trent & Dove
Known for her caring nature and bingo-calling skills, Our Scheme Coordinator Carole Grant is celebrating an incredible 30 years with Trent & Dove.
To mark the milestone, Carole was presented with flowers by our CEO Ursula Bennion in recognition of her dedication to customers and colleagues alike.
Carole said:
“There are so many great things about working at Trent & Dove, but the best is the support from managers and colleagues. That teamwork means our customers get the best service - and that’s what really matters.”
Based for many years at our Over 55 scheme Dove Court in Horninglow, Carole’s role will now expand to include supporting residents at Tyldesley Court and other schemes as a Scheme Coordinator.
“It’s not just about putting a roof over people’s heads,” she said. “It’s about looking at the bigger picture and helping our community thrive.”
Originally from Stoke, Carole trained as a nurse at Burton’s Queen’s Hospital, specialising in elderly care before moving into housing support.
Her career has spanned roles at Staunton Harold, Highwoods Day Nursery, caring for children, before moving to Harvey Place in Uttoxeter in 1995 with what would become Trent & Dove, where she discovered her flair for bingo and community events.

She later moved to Hillside, in Tutbury, where she continued to check on the residents, often seeing walking around most of the village as she did not drive.
In 2002, Carole moved to St John’s Court - then part of East Staffordshire Borough Council until it transferred its homes to Trent & Dove, and where the current Dove & Meadow Court stands today.
She said:
“You become part of the community. Our customers face challenges, but it’s so rewarding when you can help turn things around.”
From reconnecting families to supporting a 100-year-old resident who still lives independently, Carole’s impact is far-reaching.
Embracing new technology and compliance requirements, Carole continues to adapt and thrive.
“I’m proud to see our customers living well in their own homes,” she said. “And I’m excited for the next chapter with Tyldesley Court.”
Congratulations Carole!
