Families welcomed to free Autumn fun day
Families are being invited to enjoy a free afternoon of Autumn-themed entertainment and activities during the October half term.
We are hosting our first Autumn Fun Afternoon, bringing together a range of activities for children and families to enjoy - completely free of charge.
Taking place at Eton Park Junior Academy, in Horninglow, the event will feature balloon modelling, face painting, Autumn crafts and games, with something for all ages to enjoy.
Our Coffee Connect van will also be on hand, serving free refreshments throughout the afternoon.
Several local organisations will also be attending, allowing visitors to find out more about the support and services available in their community.
The event takes place from 12.30pm to 3.30pm on Thursday 29 October, at Eton Park Junior Academy, Masefield Crescent, Horninglow, Burton upon Trent, DE14 2SG.
The event has been organised following the cancellation of our two annual summer fun days, which were unable to go ahead due to extreme weather.
Trent & Dove Head of Customer and Communities, Rachael Hughes, said:
“Our summer fun days attract thousands of people every year, so it was disappointing that extreme weather meant it was unsafe for us to hold them this year.“However, supporting the communities where we provide homes is incredibly important to us, which is why we’re delighted to be bringing people together for our first Autumn Fun Afternoon.“There’ll be plenty of activities for children and families to enjoy, and being indoors means everyone can have a great afternoon whatever the weather.“Events like this are a great reflection of our mission to provide homes and services that enable people and communities to thrive, and we’re proud to play a part in creating opportunities for local people to come together.”
