Severe weather and yellow warning of wind

TD logo with strapline

Due to the current strong winds, we are aware that some of our customers are experiencing fallen fences, roof tiles and trees falling on to their properties.

Here’s some advice about what to do and how Trent & Dove is responding:

  • Fencing to the front, rear and between a customer’s home and neighbouring property

Tenants are expected to co-operate with each other in the repair and replacement of shared party fencing between homes. In the interim, please move the fence to a safe space to prevent further damage being caused.

While the winds are high, our repair operatives will not be able to access roofs where tiles are currently falling due to health and safety risks to them and people on the ground.  Our Repairs team will be assessing each case as it comes in.

Please report any issue to us on: 01283 528528 with the following details, where possible:

  • How many tiles have fallen, how many are visible loose and if you can see a direct hole to the roof/loft space as rain could impact your property.

Fallen trees will be passed on to our Housing Services Team who will assess further.

Yellow warning of rain

The Met Office advises people to stay away from swollen rivers and urges them not to drive through flood water as just 30cm of flowing water is enough to move your car.
