Before you apply

The demand for social and affordable housing has never been higher and regrettably, we can’t find a home for every applicant.

Applications are assessed based on the information provided. This is to make sure our homes go to the people who need them most, this includes:

  • People who are of pensionable age
  • Registered disabled
  • Those with chronic or long-term physical or mental health problems.

Banding

Our homes are allocated to people who need them most. We do this by allocating people to a 'band' after assessing their housing need against a host of criteria.

Under 18s

If you are aged 16 or 17 you cannot legally hold a tenancy until you become 18. You can only be allocated a rented home if you have a suitable trustee.

Keeping a pet

Unless it is otherwise stated in the vacancy advert, many of our properties do allow pets to be kept subject to our policy or the type of pet you are considering. During the housing registration process, you will be asked to provide details on any pets you may own.
