Stakeholder News March 2025

I hope 2025 has got off to a good start for you and the year ahead is filled with success and opportunity.

Here at Trent & Dove we’ve been keeping busy delivering our core housing and community services, onboarding new Board and Customer Committee members (more on this below), and continuing our partnership work supporting projects like East Staffordshire Borough Council’s Tackle the Tippers campaign, among others.

I’m also pleased to share that Trent & Dove has retained the top regulatory judgement rating of G1 for governance and a V2 for viability – the second highest grading, following an annual stability check in December 2024.

The Regulator’s assurance that Trent & Dove continues to comply with its Governance and Financial Viability Standards, and that our financial plans are consistent with, and support, our strategic plan, provides our customers and funders with confidence in our delivery.

The first year of results for the new Tenant Satisfaction Measures (TSMs) were also published nationally at the end of last year. We were delighted Trent & Dove scored well across several measures and was 30th out of 200 social landlords. Our score of 81% puts us in the upper quartile for performance, where the top score was Stockport Homes, with 91%. Satisfaction with our repairs service was also in the upper quartile and we came 47th in this category.

This latest update provides information on other stakeholder and partnership news, which I hope you’ll find useful. I look forward to discussing opportunities with you in the months ahead.

Impact on the Community Awards 2026

Following our 18th successful Impact on the Community Awards held last April, we’ve decided to change this celebration to a bi-annual event to ensure its continued success. The decision is based on a post-event evaluation and feedback from our communities, colleagues and partners.

During 2025, we’re keen to increase opportunities to continue working with you and other generous stakeholders and supporters to fund impactful community projects all year-round, whilst still recognising our community heroes with the new-look formal celebration returning in 2026.

If you’ve previously been a main point of contact, or you’d like to get involved in supporting other vital community projects and the 2026 Awards, please contact Martyn Hale, Operations Director (martyn.hale@trentanddove.org), to discuss how we can work together for the benefit of our communities.

Tyldesley Court on track for completion summer 2025

Our £21.3 million Tyldesley Court housing development in the heart of Burton town centre is on track for completion this summer.

The scheme, which is being built by developer, Morro will consist of 72 high-quality independent living homes for older people and ten three-bed family homes all for rent. Homes England is supporting the build with grant funding via Trent & Dove’s strategic partnership with Orbit Group.

Around 70 community members, who registered their interest via our Tyldesley Court webpage, attended a drop-in session at the Meadowside Leisure Centre in Burton, in November, to learn more about the ongoing development and choose the final kitchen design.

To keep potential customers updated, we’ve set up a Founders’ Group to work with our Supported Housing and Development teams to inform future events and choices linked to the project.

We’re also in discussion with Morro about how we can work together to deliver more than just the affordable homes being built, by adding increased social value opportunities for the new Tyldesley Court community and beyond.
